Dear Friends,

The Westside Music Foundation proudly presents internationally acclaimed Taiwanese-American concert pianist Gwhyneth Chen in recital to benefit the Robert Turner Memorial Scholarship Fund on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at 7:30 p.m.   Please see flyer attached as a .pdf file.

All ticket proceeds will go to the Robert Turner Memorial Scholarship Fund, a fund originally created as the Robert Turner Scholarship Fund for Chamber Music and Piano Concerto Performance in connection with the Robert Turner Tribute Concert (April 2001) through MTAC-WLA.  The administration of the Robert Turner Scholarship Fund has since been passed to the Westside Music Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity co-founded by two MTAC-WLA past presidents; the Westside Music Foundation also now runs the annual Robert Turner Piano Concerto Competition, in which student winners are given the amazing experience to perform as soloists with the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra, a local community orchestra dedicated to promoting opportunities in music education.  A Robert Turner Memorial Chamber Music Series—featuring local advanced student ensembles in public venues—is in the works.  Stay Tuned!

Refreshments will be served.  Your support is greatly appreciated!

Seating for the Gwhyneth Chen recital is limited.  If you cannot attend the recital but would like to make a donation or purchase tickets for students who otherwise would not be able to attend, all contributions made to the Westside Music Foundation are deductible under Section 170 of the IRS Code.

Best regards,
Deborah H. How, Ph.D., President
